Comcast Business Unveils VoiceEdge Select

The first point of contact between businesses and customers is typically the phone. These first few minutes can make or break a client relationship, and having the right VoIP solution in place can go a long way in having quality interactions. This week, Comcast Business announced the arrival of VoiceEdge Select, a new addition to its voice solutions portfolio, and geared specifically for SMBs. Coming with the cloud-based telephony offering is a suite of standard and advanced calling features, a mobile app and pocket-friendly phones priced by seat.

“Services like VoiceEdge Select are leveling the playing field for small businesses by giving them access to capabilities similar to those of large enterprises,” said Diane Myers, Senior Research Director, IHS Markit. “The advanced call features and inherent flexibility of VoiceEdge Select will be attractive to small businesses looking to gain a competitive advantage, easily scale alongside business needs and better manage their infrastructure and costs.”

Mobility is more than a trend in corporate communications, and with the newly unveiled service team members can make and receive calls from any device. Features like auto attendant, readable voicemail, simultaneous ring and hunt groups come standard with VoiceEdge Select. When it comes to IP phones, SMBs select from a catalog of Panasonic phones. VoiceEdge leverages the Comcast nationwide network, and is installed by Comcast technicians. Any upgrades or configuration changes are easily made through Comcast’s online portal, making managing the voice solution quite user friendly.

VoiceEdge Select gives them professional call handling and an easy to use portal and mobile application letting them tailor the service to their needs to ensure they never miss a call in or out of the office,” said John Guillaume, Vice President Product Management & UX at Comcast Business.
