Htek UC900 Series Interoperate with MetaSphere
Htek today announced the interoperability of its products with those of Metaswitch. Specifically, it is promoting the fact that Htek’s UC900 series IP telephony solutions work seamlessly with the MetaSphere Multiservice Telephony Application Server.
The UC900 series includes a range of products. One of them is the Gigabit Color IP Phone UC926. It features a 4.3-inch 480x272-pixel color display with backlight. It supports up to six SIP accounts and has 10 line keys. And it features dual-port gigabit Ethernet and PoE support.
The Gigabit Color IP Phone UC924 has many of the same features and functions as the UC926, but has a 2.5-inch display, supports four SIP accounts, and has eight feature keys. The Gigabit Color UP Phone UC923, meanwhile, has a 2.8-inch display, support for three SIP accounts, and eight feature keys.
The Classic IP Phone UC903 is a bit different. It has a 192*64 pixel graphical LCD with backlight, support for three SIP accounts, four soft keys, the ability to enable five-way conferencing, a message waiting indicator, and more. And the Enterprise IP Phone UC902 has a 132x48 pixel graphical LCD display with backlight, support for two SIP accounts, four soft keys, and many of the features of the UC903.
As for the MetaSphere Multiservice Telephony Application Server, that’s a fully virtualized Class 4 and 5 switching solution that delivers unified messaging and communications. It manages calls across disparate user equipment and networks, and allows end users to move in-session communications from one device and/or network to another.
“We are proud with this accreditation with Metaswitch and their customers can now use any of Htek’s UC 900 series of IP phones to achieve an enhanced user experience, cost savings, and improved productivity,” said Htek CEO Navy Ding.
Steve Gleave, senior vice president of marketing communications at Metaswitch, added: “Htek is a new phone partner that we have just certified for interop based on some customer demand for their phones. We're pleased to add Htek to our partner community.
“We conduct a full range of Interop testing to ensure that third-party VoIP endpoints work with our MetaSphere Multiservice Telephony Application Server,” Gleave added. “Like all of our Mosaic partners, we hope to see Htek participate in future Metswitch events that showcase the broad range of technology partners in our NGN ecosystem.”
