Assisted Living Using Avaya IP Office Cloud for Resident Safety
For Maryland family-owned and -operated assisted living facility Golden Crest, deploying Avaya IP Office Cloud for resident safety was a no-brainer. Not only would the service be an economical alternative, saving them over $700 per month, but it allowed for much better and more efficient staff connectivity. The Golden Crest Assisted Living Facility is quite small, just five homes, but has round-the-clock care for residents. The owners knew they could enhance communications via the cloud and would be able to easily connect the staff, regardless of their location. In the event of any emergency, this installment could, literally, be a life saver.
“Right off the bat, I saved $700.00 per month because the Avaya hybrid solution eliminated my need for a second T1 line. On top of that, we were able to repurpose the IP Office and build on it. Avaya has saved us a bundle,” Bob Meekins, CEO of Golden Crest shared. He went on to add: “I don't have an office; my truck is my office. I am always traveling among the five homes, and my wife has a home office and is on the road at all of the facilities every day. The IP Office mobile twinning is great, when someone calls one of us, the call rings directly to our cell phones.”
Meekins not only appreciates the monetary savings but the peace of mind and clarity that Avaya has given him through its network: “The Avaya phones are reliable and the quality is crystal clear. That’s imperative from a safety standpoint. When we need to make an emergency call or contact a resident’s family, we need to know the solution will work. Avaya gives us that."
