Sennheiser and 3CX Partnership Delivers UC and PBX Compatibility
Product compatibility in digital communications ensures companies are able to address the needs of their customers even if they're using solutions from another vendor. In order to avoid complications related to compatibility, partnerships are established to bring together the product portfolio of each party and make the necessary upgrades. Sennheiser and 3CX announced the successful joint testing of interoperability between their products, and they have formed a partnership to make their technologies available to their respective customers.
Sennheiser is a German based manufacturer of headphones, microphones and wireless transmission systems for contact centers, offices, gaming, mobile devices and unified communications environments. And 3CX is on the other side of the communications delivery spectrum. The company develops software-based and open standards IP PBX to replace the inefficiencies of legacy solutions with a comprehensive UC platform out of the box.
The 3CX technology is used by Boeing, McDonalds, Hugo Boss, Harley Davidson, Pepsi and other leading brands, as well as SMBs totaling more than 50,000 customers around the world.
Andreas Bach, President at Sennheiser Communications A/S, said, "The interoperability provides a hassle free deployment of Sennheiser UC headsets with the 3CX soft client and will provide our mutual customers with a premium user and audio experience."
The hassle free deployment is made possible by making Sennheiser’s UC product portfolio fully compatible with 3CX’s software-based PBX. The support will extend to the advanced features in the latest release of the 3CX v15.5 as well as all licensed versions of 3CX.
The release of 3CX Phone System V15.5 includes improvements in the way it provides unified communications by making it faster, more secure and more reliable. Call management has been simplified in desk phone and smartphone with click to call controls for inbound calls, transfering calls and elevating a call to a conference call with a single click.
The new features continue the 3CX strategy of letting users deploy from anywhere, which now includes MiniPC appliances of leading brands such as Intel, Zotac, Shuttle and Gigabyte. The integration of these appliances eliminates the need to have propriety PBX systems so any locations can be local.
Additional improvement that are now part of 3CX V15.5 include: integrated web conferencing, call management and Click2Call from any CRM, integrated hotel module, support for Google Firebase PUSH and PCI compliance in financial environments. As part of the partnership Sennheiser is now also part of this ecosystem of global availability through 3CX.
