Telrad Networks LTE Selected by Evertek for Network Upgrade

Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative LTE telecom solutions, today announced that Evertek, Inc., a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) in Iowa, has selected the Telrad (News - Alert) LTE solution to upgrade their wireless network. The new LTE upgrade will help better serve existing subscribers with higher throughput packages, as well as improve coverage to reach more customers in rural areas.

Evertek, founded 32 years ago, began its wireless internet deployments in 2001. "We've served our rural customers well. However, with the recent increased use of OTT entertainment, security systems, VoIP, and home automation, our subscriber capacity needs have skyrocketed. We need to upgrade our network to continue to serve our subscribers with reliable and secure service," stated Roxanne White, CEO of Evertek.

Evertek is using the Telrad high-power BreezeCOMPACT 000 base station in the 2.5 GHz BRS spectrum. Newly deployed sites are using the LTE (News - Alert) solution while existing infrastructure is being upgraded. A majority of Evertek subscribers are residential, the company also serves many businesses and supports public safety, with connectivity to police cars, and precision farming, with equipment-monitoring and automation.
